The Heart of My Practice
My mother tells me that one of my very first words as a child was “why?” — a question that has guided me ever since. From an early age, I was fascinated by what lies beneath the surface. Looking through a microscope, I loved discovering what the eye alone could not see. Later, I was captivated by subjects like organic chemistry, biochemistry, and biology, all of which offered deeper insight into how our bodies function.
My path into integrative medicine has always been within me. My early education as a clinical pharmacist, followed by medical school and residency, provided a strong foundation. Yet, I sensed there was still more to uncover in truly helping people live fuller, healthier lives.
When I began practicing in the outpatient setting, I quickly realized the limitations of conventional medicine as it is often practiced — focused on acute illness, quick fixes, and moving on. While this approach can help in the short term, it often falls short of supporting long-term wellness and resilience.
That realization shaped my vision: to grow as an integrative practitioner and remain open to the many modalities that can support healing. For me, it has always been about asking “why,” digging deeper, and honoring the whole person in the pursuit of lasting health and quality of life.
In this space of hope and calm, you can feel confident that your journey is supported with compassion, science, and respect for who you truly are.
